For Your Information

CAMPER INSURANCE coverage by the camp is not provided, due to the high cost, and the knowledge that most families are covered under their own insurance policies. Please bring your policy name and group numbers in the unlikely event you need to use them.

CAMPERSHIPS are available to those families with special financial needs. Please contact the camp office for scholarship information. NO FAMILY IS EVER DENIED THE OPPORTUNITY TO CAMP LUTHER BECAUSE OF INABILITY TO PAY. All requests and subsequent gifts are kept confidential.

HEALTH FORMS should be completed by the time of arrival of your scheduled week at camp, and be presented to us during registration. We need to emphasize that you must BRING the HEALTH FORM with you to camp. This is for your own protection in case there is an emergency. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION!

REDUCED RATES for families with RV’s are available for those who make arrangements with us in advance. We now have eight RV spots with electric and water hook-up. RV spaces are assigned on a first come, first served basis.

REGISTRATION for your week at Luther begins on Sunday at 2:30 P.M. and ends at 5:00 P.M. We ask that you arrive no sooner than 2:30 and please do not drive around the gate if it is down. Camp Luther’s sessions end with Saturday breakfast and check out time is 10:30 A.M.

SPECIAL NEEDS can easily be met with a simple request mailed or called into the camp office at least two weeks in advance. Whether it be food for a special diet, a specific cabin request, or handicapped accessibility – we’ll do our best to meet your request.

MONEY NEEDS: An offering on Friday evening at our chapel service is designated toward our Campership Fund for needy families. The crafts we offer involve a small charge, as well as bags of ice. In addition, many of the families opt to buy pizza on Friday night following the Candlelight Service. All of these things can be paid for at the time of purchase or can be combined with your store credit card and paid off with cash, check, or credit card (Visa or MasterCard) at Friday’s picnic.

WHAT TO BRING: A list of what to bring is provided on the Camp Luther Website. Please plainly mark all of the items, including clothing that could be possibly misplaced or left at the swimming pool or shower house. The camp cannot be responsible for personal items lost or inadvertently left at camp. Any personal items that ARE left and marked will be gladly returned to you C.O.D.

FAMILIES should not feel it necessary to bring any food to camp, although many families do bring food for a late evening snack or for a special diet. BEWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ONE OF GOD’S CREATURES ENTERING YOUR CABIN IF THE AROMA IS TOO ENTICING! A refrigerator is available in the camp nursery or the kitchen for medicine, infant formula, and other necessary items.
